Absolutely. Classroom Monitor reads data exported from your school database. All you have to do is allocate pupils to your classes. This will allow numerous analysis options including ethnicity, gender etc. You can also export your teacher assessed National Curriculum levels from Classroom Monitor back into your school database, ready for further analysis or to send to your LEA.
Once installed, Classroom Monitor will check the internet for new updates, making sure you are always using an up to date version of the software.
A Classroom Monitor site licence includes a free one year support package providing telephone, email and on-site support for all your teachers.
As part of this package, you will also receive regular update discs with program developments and any changes to Government strategies. Following your free year of support and upgrades, you will be able to continue with comprehensive support and upgrades for a small administration fee.
We offer a comprehensive in-school training service. The package includes full phone and email support for your technician to install Classroom Monitor. Once that is done we will run a full, step by step training session with your staff. Your teachers can begin assessing their class with one of our experienced trainers on hand to answer any queries.
Classroom Monitor is designed to work both with a network and without. This allows your teachers to assess their pupils on the network when at school, and then save their work onto a disc to put onto a laptop or onto their home computer. Classroom Monitor will also run on RM CC3 networks.
Classroom Monitor works on a one-off site licence fee, so you won't be paying each and every year. Technical Support and updates are included within that year. For full details of our site licence costs please call us on 0844 5555 211. We may be able to negotiate on the price if you are able to arrange a meeting for us to speak to other local schools – give us a call & we’ll do our best!
They're all very positive! The system was developed with the help of the authorities in the East Midlands area. We received invaluable feedback during development and continue to do so. We were the first report-writing system to receive accreditation to the Curriculum Online Scheme through BECTA. Teacher Assessment is increasing in importance particularly at KS1 and ensuring there is justifiable evidence for teacher assessed levels and tracking is a key factor for Ofsted. See the Classroom Monitor in action section for Oftsed reports regarding Classroom Monitor.
