How does it work?

Record-Keeping made easy - Your Questions Answered

Q – My staff have varying levels of IT ability, are we ready for an IT system?

A – The markbook is so easy to use even the most IT shy teacher will have no problems. We offer lots of support - there are help files and tutorials,we run in school training and everyone has access to our helpdesk.

Q – There’s always new guidance coming from Government and framework changes – how do I keep on top of it all?

A - Classroom Monitor will help. We monitor and include any changes to government frameworks so you can be sure that you are working in line with expectations. As the system is web based you won’t even have to worry about installing or updating anything yourself.

Q – Record-keeping is hard to monitor in the school, moderation is time consuming and my teachers may be making level judgments in different ways. How can we work consistently?

A – Classroom Monitor provides a simple and uniform method for your staff to assess their pupils. Each score comes from a system developed over several years of academic research so you know you’re all working consistently.

Q – How can information built up by one teacher be easily passed onto the next teacher or school?

A – Each pupil record is held in one place for easy access (with access from any PC) and their assessment history follows them throughout their school life (both from class to class but also from school to school). This can be particularly helpful in aiding KS2 – 3 transition.
